David R. Hall is Head of the Department of Linguistics at Mcquarie University, Sydney, Australia. He has lived and worked in France, Rwanda, Iran, Malaysia, Thailand, and the UK and Australia, and has published in the fields of LSP, ELT management, curriculum development, and learner-centered approaches.

Ann Hewings is lecturer at the Centre for Language and Communications at the Open University, UK. She has taught English and carried out teacher training around the world. She is widely published in the fields of English for academic purposes and text analysis.
