About the Author:

Steven Owens is a third-generation Coloradoan who received his bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He then graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1991. Steve practiced in Arizona for ten years and returned home in 2001 where he now practices in Greenwood Village, Colorado, a suburb of Denver.
His 22 years of experience practicing in the area of business law and estate planning are reflected in the practical tips he provides to his readers based upon the techniques he has perfected while creating thousands of unique and individual Legacy estate plans for his clients.
Steve is a member of the Order of the Coif (an honorary society limited to the top 10% of law school graduates), Wealth Counsel and the Advanced Estate Planning Program at the Esperti-Peterson Institute of Sarasota, Florida.
Steve is not only the author of the authoritative book on Legacy estate planning, Your Legacy: Meaningful Estate Planning, but has also been published in several noted legal journals.
