From the Inside Flap:
"I especially like the parts about me!" - Harry Anderson, magician, comic and star of the sitcom Night Court "I couldn't put the book down. It is a riveting account of how crazy life became in the French Quarter after Hurricane Katrina. Salty language aside, I would recommend this book for anyone who wants to know the real story of what happened in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina roared into town." - Jeff Crouere, host of WLAE TV's Ringside Politics show, New Orleans "In a time when Southern culture and decadence have been destroyed by public perception, Smallwood reminds us of the truth and the true Southern chivalry that remains even in the face of near apocalyptic times." - Roch Esheman, Prsident, Eshelman Entertainment, New Orleans “Most of us will remember the day Hurricane Katrina tried to erase New Orleans. But only a few were there to witness the fury of the storm and the madness of the aftermath. This is the story of those insane, treacherous and, ultimately, liberating days.Robert Smallwood stayed. His first-person account, written almost immediately after the storm, is a free-form but amazingly coherent memoir of a catastrophe, condensed into a few desperate and life-altering days.Read it now and read it fast.” -Andy Moore, Publisher, Knowledge Management World, Camden, Maine "Robert Smallwood is the ultimate survivor in life, and not just through this disaster. His account of the mayhem is via the prism of perspective gained over 20 years in New Orleans, and shaped over several personal challenges he has faced and conquered." - Nicolas P. Rhodes, CEO, Casino & Gaming TV, Los Angeles
