The purpose of this Mission Training Plan (AMTP) is to provide the trainer with the necessary information to maintain a high level of combat service support and maintenance training in the unit. lt is more than just a porduct improvement of the Army Training and Evaluation Plan (ARTEP). The AMTP is a new generation training program that places more emphasis on leader training and the how-to of conducting training by adding workable samples of training exercises and, at the same time, providing information on training requirements for the specific level being trained. This manual is designed to be used by company commanders, first sergeants, executive officers, battalion maintenance officers, and maintenance team to support the tank heavy company.
