hardcover. Condition: Perfetto (Mint). Fotografie in bianco e nero dio Giacomo Brunelli Design di Milo Montelli. 8vo (cm 16,5x24). pp. 64. . Perfetto (Mint). . Prima edizione di 500 esemplari (I edition of 500 copies). . Giacomo Brunelli stalks the streets of New York with his old film camera, often for ten hours a day, looking for characters and details that are adrift in time. His work has an air of nostalgia to it, and a film noir sensibility. The images are dark, shadowy, moody and a bit menacing ? as if we're looking through the eyes of a night detective, a voyeur or a stalker. They provoke an unspoken narrative, offering up clues to an unknown mystery. True to his love of old things and old ways, Brunelli shoots with a 1962 Miranda camera and prints in his darkroom. Prima edizione di 500 esemplari (I edition of 500 copies). Book.

Dark and moody the images capture Brunneli's random encounters with peole animals and the architecture. Printed on uncoated paper using monochromatic cold inkjet. "Using his very cinematic film-noir style of still photography, Giacomo Brunelli roamed the streets of the city of Hamburg, Germany, capturing a moody interpretation of its architecture, people and animals randomly encountered on the streets. By the very nature of its style, and the skillful editing and sequencing of the photographs, it seems we are witnessing scenes from a sinister story without context or words. The viewer is forced to make sense of this series, and becomes an unwitting collaborator in unraveling the mystery of the story." ? Hard cover. Condition: New. Signed by the Photographer\n\n"Venice" is a new project Brunelli decided to start in response to the fragility of the city after the exceptional November 2019 "Acqua Alta". In January 2020, I decided to embark on a new project on the city of Venice as I have always been fascinated by its uniqueness, its fragility and vulnerability. In 2021, I managed to spend a few months there to complete the project, photographing this city built on more than 100 islands, no streets or cars just bridges, canals and water. I hope with this project to represent its timeless beauty and elegance. \nIn my projects, I try to give new life to what we have daily in front of our eyes. When I photographed London, the city where I live, I tried to tell a story of a timeless and dreamlike city through the details of everyday life and I did the same "The Animals" and now with "New York". I like to tell the mysteries surrounding everyday things.I shoot with a Miranda from the 60s (once it belonged to my father) and I have always used black and white as a form of expression.I am a fan of silver gelatin printing and find the black and white elegant, direct and in line with the type of emotions I want to convey"\n\nTwo and a half years later he has completed the project with a self-published book, published under the name of TantoPress.\n\nHardcover on leather \n22.5x22.5cm, 64 pages\nISBN 978-1-3999-2387-3.

Reprint. Square hardback in black cloth, no dust-jacket issued. Inscribed and signed by Brunelli on the front endpaper, "To Lee, happy to see you here and thanks, Best, Giacomo". Brunelli uses film-noir style to create a unique and atmospheric view of London framed around the silhouettes of people and animals including the statue of Winston Churchill depicted alongside Big Ben; a dog running into the Thames; and a woman featured against the backdrop of St. Paul's Cathedral. Brunelli takes his photographs during daily early morning walks, randomly choosing a person to follow before focusing his camera on them. Book.
