Thomas John Clapperton FRBS (1879-1962), born in Galshiels, was a Scottish sculptor, famous for the statue of Robert the Bruce at the entrance of Edinburgh Castle erected in 1929. This is a catalogue of a photographic exhibition of 37 pieces of his work, 14 sculptural exhibits and 15 personal exhibits, held at the Canongate Tolbooth Museum, Edinburgh, 2nd to 28th April, 1973. The catalogue is staple-bound in the original card covers with black titling and an illustration on the front cover. The catalogue is in very good condition with some shelf wear and slight yellowing to the covers. The contents are tight and clean with a newspaper clipping concerning Clapperton's statuette of Robert Louis Stevenson attached to the back of the last page. There is a short pencil note on the inside of the front cover and a few neat pencil notes elsewhere within the catalogue.
