Peake signed by his name in the table of contents. All are either flat-signed or inscribed to Russell Holmes, career OSS/CIA officer, signed at the Commemorative 80th birthday dinner of Pforzheimer. Limited edition, No. 109 of 400 numbered copies (Holmes notes in pencil that 109 was Donovan's number in cable traffic). Near fine hardcover copy; Holmes' blindstamp on title page; Holmes wrote notes in neat pencil in the margins of some of the essays, as well as vertical lines in pencil next to some passages.
