Translations by Thomas Taylor. A facsimile of the original 18th century translation. 'On The Gods of The World', which was composed in the 4th Century A.D. for the Roman Emperor Julian. Thomas Taylor's translation of these works is from 1793. 'Five Hymns' was composed by Taylor himself and are written to Ceres, Jupiter, Minerva, Vesta and Mercury. Near fine condition in a very good dust jacket. Jacket has a short closed tear, a small chip and a few wrinkles. Jacket is in a new mylar sleeve.
