About the Author

Kat and John LaFevre are Gatlinburg, Tennessee locals who live in a log cabin high up in the mountains. They have hiked and researched the trails with many old-timers to discover the hidden treasures of the Smokies!!!Kat has a master's degree in education and is a volunteer with the National Park's Outreach program. John has written for the Wall Street Journal's National Employment Weekly and many national magazines. He also wrote a business book published by Simon & Schuster and is a professional speaker. He is a country musician and songwriter when he is not out on the trails or talkin' somewhere.
