About the exam
The NCEES PE Civil Exam is an 8-hour open-book exam. The exam is a breadth and depth examination. You will work the breadth exam in the morning (4-hours, 40 multiple-choice questions) and the Structural depth exam in the afternoon (4-hours, 40 multiple-choice questions).

Christine A. Subasic, PE, is a consulting architectural engineer licensed in North Carolina and Virginia. Ms. Subasic graduated with a bachelor of architectural engineering degree, structures option, with honors and high distinction, from The Pennsylvania State University. For more than 25 years, she has specialized in masonry and structural design, standards development, and technical writing. Ms. Subasic has experience in both commercial and residential construction. Her clients include commercial businesses, as well as several trade associations.
Ms. Subasic is an active member of ASTM International and the ASHRAE 189.1 Standard Project Committee, organizations committed to the development of construction industry standards. Ms. Subasic has served on the board of directors for The Masonry Society, and she is currently President-Elect and active on their Executive Committee, Design Practice Committee, and Sustainability Committee.
Ms. Subasic is the author of numerous articles, papers, and technical publications. She has authored chapters in the Masonry Designers’ Guide, published by The Masonry Society, and co-authored An Investigation of the Effects of Hurricane Opal on Masonry. She has served as a subject matter expert for revisions of timber and masonry material in PPI publications. Her articles on many aspects of masonry have appeared in the magazines Masonry Construction, Masonry, and STRUCTURE.
