About the Author

Julie Schechter graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a degree in Criminology & Criminal Justice and went on to receive her Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School. Ms. Schechter is a practicing attorney admitted to practice law in the state and federal courts of New York. Ms. Schechter is currently practicing as an attorney at Montgomery, McCracken, Walker & Rhoads, LLP.  She practices Real Estate Law and also tutors law students in regular coursework throughout the semester. As a law student, Ms. Schechter created charts to help her study because through charts she found she was able to present the voluminous, complex material in a simple, straightforward format. Ms. Schechter continues to use those charts to help the students she tutors and has created this book to help a wider range of students gain a comprehensive understanding of the five subjects taught during the first year of law school and tested on the Multistate portion of the bar examABOUT THE EDITORMonica E. Kipiniak is an attorney admitted to practice law in the state and federal courts of New York and New Jersey. She maintains a private practice in Brooklyn, New York, and has been working with law students for close to 20 years. Ms. Kipiniak provides private tutoring for students requiring individual assistance in their preparation for law school and the bar exams. Ms. Kipiniak primarily prepares students for the New York and New Jersey bar examinations, but has also assisted individuals taking bar exams in Texas, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Arkansas and California. She has lectured at various law school throughout New York state on preparing and taking the bar exam, and has been responsible for editing and creating bar exam preparation materials. Ms. Kipiniak teaches a bar preparation class at New York Law School.
