E. Cabell Hankinson Gathman holds a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, where she has taught in the Department of Sociology and the Department of Gender and Women's Studies. Dr. Gathman's research and teaching interests include communication and information technologies, the sociology of science and technology, and sexualities. Dr. Gathman was featured on Wednesday Nite @ the Lab for Wisconsin Public Television, served as a visiting scholar and consultant for the New Media Literacies Project at MIT, and is a founding board member of Wisconsin 5-2-1, a non-Profit organization dedicated to raising visibility and support for Wisconsin's non-Monosexual community."
