About this Item
An elegantly rebound (half-leather) copy of Dryden's Restoration tragedy. As part of this rebinding, there are several (laid) endpapers (front and back) perhaps reflecting the fact that the original 1676 paperwork is extremely fragile and delicate. It is also very tanned with some spotting throughout. The title page also appears to have what looks like the residue of a small burn mark - see image. However, despite these age-related elements, the text, including, for example, the stage instructions, scene headings etc remain remarkably crisp and clear. pp. 86 (bracketed by unpaginated Dedication/Prologue and Epilogue - one page). NB. some of the pagination appears to be incorrect in places/8vo. Please note that, depending on destination, we may request a payment to cover any extra shipping/postage charges. Abe2423.
