This 5.25 x 7.5 inch, 272 page hardcover book is the apparent First Edition of this title in 1899 - with that date on the title page and matching the copyright date on the following page. This book was probably issued without any dust wrapper - with this book in near fine condition - with very little wear or damage showing to the dark-colored cloth covers-over-boards with green and white flower decoration and gilt titling on front panel and spine. The gilt lettering is virtually As New with only one bump showing to the bottom edges of the covers. but the corners themselves are not bumped. The inside text is in at least near fine condition with the binding strong - a previous owners inked name on the ffep - a touch of browning to the title page - but beyond that the text pages are clean and free of damage - with the book containing two full-page illustrations. 272 pages.
