Original vintage art exhibition poster featuring a great illustration by the German artist and cartoonist Michael Mathias Prechtl (1926-2003) for the Cranach & Picasso Austellung der Albrecht Durer Gesellschaft in der Kunsthalle Nurnberg Sept. Okt. '68 / Cranach and Picasso exhibition Albrecht Durer Society at the Art Association Nurnberg in September October 1968 depicting the German Renaissance painter, woodcut and engraving printmaker Lucas Cranach the Elder (c.1472-1553) with a ring on his finger, and the Spanish painter, sculptor, ceramicist, designer and printmaker Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) smoking a cigarette with his other arm around Cranach, both looking out to the viewer with the title above. Horizontal. Large size. Fair condition, foxing, creasing, tears, restored tears, pinholes, browning on edges. Size: 80x118.5cm.
