From Abraham Ferwerda's "Adelijk en Aenzienlijk Wapen-Boek van de Zeven Provincien" (Noble and Distinguished family Coat-of-Arms book of the Seven Provinces), Leeuwarden: Gerrit Tresling, 1781. Handcoloured engraving on hand laid paper. Made by an anonymous engraver after 'Author: Abraham Ferwarda'. Abraham Ferwerda (1716-1783) was a Dutch / Frisian author and publisher from Leeuwarden. He started the Leeuwarder Courant, a newspaper, which is still in existence today. Very good, given age. Attached to carrier sheet of contemporary paper.
