Depuis, le charme de ses dessins a ancré son traité dans l'imaginaire des céramistes et des historiens d'art. The treatise in three parts was commissioned by Cardinal François Tournon. The printed text is based on the original manuscript held by the National Art Library in London dated 1548. Lacking the 2nd volume with 37 plates. From the library of Dr Pedro N.Arata (1849-1922), professor of pharmaceutical chemistry at the University of Buenos Aires with his bookplate on blank verso of title.
