Pamphlet. Condition: Very good +. First Edition. This pamphlet has no significant faults. There are 12 B/W photographs to illustrate his amazing life story. 20pp He was Lieutenant ( Queen's Gurkha Officer) in the 10th Princess Mary's own Gurkha Rifles.

Rai / Pipe Major Yom Bahadur Gurung (QGE)". (GR = Gurkha Rifles / QGE = Queen's Gurkha Engineers.) B&w photographs. A short biography of Rambahadur Limbu's life before and during his time with the Gurkha Rifles, including the text of the Official Citation detailing how he came to be awarded the Victoria Cross. Also included: a pamphlet, 9" H, stapled in wraps, with colour and b&w photographs, "The Brigade of Gurkhas", with Foreword by Major General D G T Horsford, CBE DSO, Major General, The Brigade of Gurhkas, containing: Gurkha Origin and History; The Gurkha's Background; Gurkha recruitment and training; The Brigade of Gurhkas; The Brigade of Gurkhas Band Contingent 1971; The Gurkhas, Bravest of the Brave, by Sir Arthur Bryant; Gurkha VC's (up to 1945); Legendary - But true stories; The Pensioner's Song; Return to Civilian Life: The Gurkha Welfare Appeal. Plus: A colour card (6 1/16" H x 5 1/16" W) "6th Gurkha Rifles" after a water colour by Major A.C. Lovett, 1910 - signed on back: "Rambahadur Limbu V.C. / Capt Kaman Sing Gurung / Kesar Limbu". An interesting grouping of three items in total. Interiors - 'The Brigade of Gurkhas' has a faint dampness mark at bottom edge of last two pages and rear cover. Exteriors - 'My Life Story' has light soiling/rubbing on rear cover and very light edge wear, 'The Brigade of Gurkhas' has very light rubbing, very light tiny foxing marks and a few very small stains on front cover, very light edge wear, a few light wrinkles at bottom edge of rear cover. Signed by Author.

On one side of an 11 x 17.5 piece of light-blue paper. In good condition, on lightly-aged paper, with two fold lines (not affecting signature). The signature is written in pencil, and reads 'Rambahadur Limbu V.C.' Beneath the signature, in blue ink, is the signature of 'Ranjit Rai', and beneath this, in a different blue ink, an indecipherable signature. With newspaper cutting, dated 28 September 1966, of article titled 'After the glory - it's back to the jungle'. The article carries two photographs of Limbu.

Publisher's original wire stitched colour photographic card wrap covers (soft back). 8vo. 10'' x 8''. Contains 20 pp + covers with monochrome archive photographs to the central pages. In Very Good clean condition, no dust wrapper as issued. SIGNED by the author to the title page 'R. Limbu V.C, M.V.O., 23rd June 1984' + small personal colour photograph corner mounted opposite his signature. Member of the P.B.F.A. VICTORIA CROSS AWARDS.

Both items card covers. (20), (4) Pp. B&W photo illustrations bothvols. Limbu was a member of 10th Princess Mary's Own Gurkha Rifles "My Life Story' Signed & dated by Limbu, 13 Aug 1978. Both items very good condition.

First edition thus hard back binding in publisher's original black cloth covered boards, blocked and lettered gilt back. 8vo. 8¾'' x 5½''. Contains (viii), 177 pp with monochrome archive photographs throughout. Cheap paper browning. Very Good condition book in Very Good condition dust wrapper, not price clipped. Hand written and SIGNED by Rambahadur Limbu to the title page 'Captain Rambahadur Limbu V.C., M.V.O. 10th P.M.O. Gurkha Rifles - R. Limbu - 11. 7. 84' + loosely inserted small private colour photograph of the 10th Princess Mary's Own Gurkha Rifles marching in Bournemouth. Dust wrapper supplied in archive acetate film protection.
