Minor rubbing and edgewear to jacket; faint stains to e.p.s. The third of Tyson's seven books. Russ Tyson was a well-known voice in Brisbane radio - first for the ABC where he was working when this was published and then for 4KQ until his retirement in 1976. Bettina MacAulay's (nee Corones) first job was working as Tyson's secretary in the early 1960s. She went on to graduate in Classics and Art History from the University of Queensland and held various senior curatorial positions responsible for British, European and Australian art at the Queensland Art Gallery until 1993, when she and Desmond MacAulay established their consultancy. Of the two typed sheets loosely laid in, one is a poem titled "Beatitudes of the friends of the Cerebral Palsied" and the other is a letter from a mother titled "Born Different - A letter from a mother to a child who is Normal". Both pieces read as contemporary attempts to challenge stereotypes and promote understanding.

The dust jacket is in poor condition, heavily worn, torn, scuffed and chipped around the edges. The last page has a taped in piece of paper that has left tape stains.
