The rock inscriptions of Razliq and Nasteban were published in 1965 by Warren C. Benedict, on the basis of latex rubber. The reference point is the city of Saräb, 120 km east of Tabriz on the road to Ardabil and the Caspian Sea. The inscriptions lie on the southern slope of the Sabalan Mountains, 4810 m, three meters higher than our Mont Blanc. Cest toujours un plaisir de relire ses pages pleines à la fois denthousiasme de pionnier et de considérations sur la problématique et même le mystère dune telle découverte à un endroit inattendu (fig. 1 et 2). Schaeffer présentait donc la légende cunéiforme des deux cercles extérieurs en transcription et traduction, tandis que Hans Gustav Güterbock, dans le même volume, pp. 161-163, se chargeait de discuter «Linscription hiéroglyphique hittite» ainsi que certaines conséquences de lapparition de ce nouveau document sur létude du corpus des sceaux de Bogazköy. [.] Cest un sceau bigraphe, avec une légende cunéiforme dans le cercle extérieur et une légende hiéroglyphique dans le champ central. Les deux cercles sont légèrement excentriques. La légende cunéiforme est centrifuge, cest-à-dire que les têtes des clous sont tournées vers lextérieur, comme dans la plupart des sceaux royaux. Sprache: Französisch Gewicht in Gramm: 550.
