Before there was the Sutter family in hockey there was the Bentleys - as the photo on page 330 will atest. They made the Drumheller Miners of 1938-39 famous - but they were from Delisle. Roy, Scoop, Reg, Doug and Max were known as the Quints. Oh yes !, there were also Mary and Pearl who played. If you read nothing of the Pringles, Yanowzeskis, Giokas and Dehmkes who are also featured you wouldn't be disappointed. Page 192 has a photo of someone called Gordie. The ladies and the `builders' also get plenty of mention. Page 195 is mis-bound or mis-cut but it is hardly a flaw. Plenty of b/w photos. Cond: Boards are blue, with gilt lettering - face and spine. End-papers are white. D.J. is off white with red and blue decoration. D.J. has plenty of edge wear and one nasty tear. No names or marks. Tight in binding. Decidedly collectible ! !
