Softbound. Condition: VG. Theodore Gentilz (illustrator). Color wraps. xiii, 127 pp. 30 color, 41 bw repros. This book contains a lot of original research. Very detailed selected references, index. Full page plates make this a very handsome publication. Gentilz' painting career extended from the 1840's up until his death in 1906 in San Antonio. Truly an exceptional individual, he captured many of the early genre scenes of Texas on canvas and was well known in his time.
