The striking dustjacket design is by the Louisiana artist Caroline Wogan Durieux (1896-1989), a New Orleans native of Creole descent and who returned to New Orleans after years in Cuba and Mexico, assuming in1938 the directorship of the WPA Federal Art Project in New Orleans, where Arthur MacArthur was working at the time this was published. 290 pp. Very good in very good dust jacket (gift inscription dated 1944, chip to upper end of spine of dj, some discoloration to the edges of the dj.).
