Increasingly difficult to find, these are the UK first editions. Rage was published first in the US in 1977, but in the UK Roadwork was published first, in 1980, with the other three coming in 1983. Some general edge wear to all volumes, spine on Long Walk a little creased, moreso on Roadwork and Running Man. Blocks tanned. Roadwork is water stained. Rage is the best of the four. First Edition, First Printing. 8vo up to 9½" tall., 692pp. with Introduction by Stephen King: 'Why I Was Bachman'. Quarter black cloth over black boards with gilt titles. Light toning to pages and otherwise volume is in fine condition; binding is tight and square and boards are fine. Unclipped jacket has light rubbing to corners and head of spine; gilt is rubbed on letter 'e' in the first word of front panel; inside jacket has toning. A very scarce edition, in very collectible condition. Stephen King's pseudonym Richard Bachman "died" in 1985 of "cancer of the pseudonym" after he was discovered; his death served as the inspiration for King's 1989 novel The Dark Half. King published one additional novel under the Bachman name entitled Thinner, A First Edition, First Printing of Thinner is also available; pleas inquire.

This copy has some light tanning/soil to the edges of the text block and the erasure of a price to the ffep else fine. The19.95 priced jacket has some lightish rubbing wear, some edge wear, bit of chipping to the area at the top and heel of the spine. It has been awhile since I have had one of these in stock especially in a First Printing of the First Omnibus Edition, the true hardcover first. Kind of a rare bird. A compilation edition of the first four Bachman Books which were originally published as PBOs with an introduction by King "Why I was Bachman". Damn nice copy with a so-so jacket. The back-board has a little of the same tanning damage but less. The book is in great condition otheriwse and all the pages are completely fresh. Very scarce with just the book in great condition since the first edition jacket where under several impressions.

An attractive set of the first four books written under King's Richard Bachman pseudonym, originally issued as paperback originals by Signet between 1977-1982.
