Page 80, of this 112 page volume features Al Pacino, Jack Nicholson., and Groucho Marx as they appeared in ads. Page 49 features a giant cut-out (of a reposing woman and a cat) that must be seventy feet long. The products being promoted are TV's, liquor, cigarettes, cars, movies, and air travel. Early examples show war bonds, milk, hats, stocks, and train travel. Many excellent photos in both colour and (*earlier) b/w. Even La Tour Eiffel is lit up. Plenty of humour. Cond : Paper wrapper is whote with blue lettering. Front cover image features a lagoon, on a billboard, superimposed on a high western desert. Binding sound. Light wear at corners and edges. Clean. P/O name on half-title. Excellent inspirational copy. Quote (p. 57) : " Manufacturers soon moved from aore neutral approach, directed at the intellect, to a more sophisticated approach that reached viewers at a visual level. Long prosy captions and wordy exhortations were ._._._. ." Size: 8vo.
