Following that page, contents are identical to the regular First Edition, in 309 pages, with illustrations by Mary Grandpré. Deep green leather-covered boards, 2 raised bands & gilt lettering to spine, gilt lettering & design to front, with colorful front paper pastedown of Harry riding his broom. Exceptionally clean & bright, pages stark white & unmarked, binding strong & straight, corners crisp. Condition is downgraded to VG because there is evidence of cracking to front joint & regluing along entire spine at this juncture. This is the rarer US deluxe edition, published by Arthur Levine, as opposed to Bloomsbury, featuring the US title of Sorcerer's Stone as opposed the more common seen Philosopher's Stone.
