Condition: Fair. 1946. No Edition Remarks. Unpaginated. No dust jacket. Brown cloth boards with gilt lettering. Contains black and white illustrations. Clean pages and illustrations with noticeable tanning and foxing throughout. More pronounced to free endpapers and pastedowns. Minor tape marks to pastedowns and free endpapers. Pencil annotations and marginalia to a few pages. Binding remains firm. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces and bumping to corners. Gilt lettering is darkened. Moderate tanning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Minor splits to spine ends and corners causing cloth to be frayed. Visible wear marks to boards.

VG copy, binding reasonably square and tight, corners gently bumped, cloth cover bright with some minor marks, pages gently tanned, light foxing to prelims, two tape marks to rear pastedown, otherwise internally very good, no dust jacket. Contains the DECORATIVE BOOKPLATE on front pastedown of Ron Cresswell, printed by his brother-in-law the English artist and printmaker MORRIS COX (1903-1998) at his Gogmagog Press.
