But then, of course, what it includes along the way are musings on process, perception, appearance, memory and emotional response amongst other philosophical contemplations. There are reproductions of beautiful handmade books and annotated notes here alongside the letters themselves. It is an inspiring read, engaging for anyone who has an interest in colour or artistic processes. (and when I was reading it on the London Underground, the guy sat next to me, after gazing at the book in my hands for the entire 20 minute ride, said it looked amazing and where could he get a copy?)
