Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Andy Warhol original Campbell s Tomato Soup Bag, 1966. Created for a Warhol Exhibition at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston, Massachusetts dated October 1st-November 6th. The design is printed using screen printing with string handles attached with thread. The bag has some light foxing, which is quite heavy on the lower half, some light marks on the image from dirt getting into original frame and a crease in lower edge. Please examine photographs carefully. Loosely mounted/ hinged on acid free card.Size inc handle 60.5 x 43.5cm (24 x 17 inches)Sheet on which it is mounted/ hinged on 81 x 62cm (32 x24 inches).

Warhol executed this work in black marker on a piece of his "Andy Warhol Studio" stationary with the 860 Broadway address along the bottom. This was Warhol's third "Factory" address where he worked from 1973 to 1984. The soup is labeled "Tomato Soup" and Warhol has signed boldly along the right edge parallel to the image making a nice presentation. Old fold lines from mailing, the result of Warhol's business manager, Fred Hughes having sent this to the previous owner, else fine (the sheet measures 11" x 8.5").
