The boards are hinged portfolio style. The book is securely bound. Within, the frontispage has some storage wear about the edges. Six tipped-in coloured plates and many b/w illustrations. Hard cover published by Winchester Press in 1973. 19.2 x 13.1 x 1.6 inches. One quarter green leather over green boards. Gilt lettering on front and spine. Inside front cover has three flaps for holding the 6 prints, which are: Ahmed (has a bent and creased corner and has some tanning at bottom), the elephant, the black rhinoceros, the cape buffalo, the lion and the leopard. A bookplate from the previous owner is on one of the flaps. Book is in near fine condition. Comes in a dark green slipcase, with a pastedown label on one side. Slipcase has three small nicks on one edge and some other slight wear, and is in good plus condition. Also included is a letter from A. Dyer to the previous owner (sent from Kenya) and signed Tony, alluding to the previous owner coming for a visit and how things are deteriorating in Kenya.
