The story of a young boy's vow to revenge the death of his parents at the hands of the Romans. Winner of the Newbery Madal 1961 Jacket illustration by Shirley Hughes shows a young man in primitive dress in a mountainous landscape with the ghostly figures of his parents by his side. Fine in vg+ dust jacket with faint closed tears at base of spine and no loss. No inscriptions, not price-clipped.
