Edges and endpapers very slightly foxed, otherwise fine in very good price-clipped dustjacket with a few small professionally closed tears and small restored chips (none affecting lettering/illustration). A Newberry Award winning novel, about guerrilla warfare against the Romans, and an Israelite confronted by Jesus. An attractive copy of a 20th Century children's classic, with a dustjacket memorably illustrated by Shirley Hughes, in much as the same format as the Houghton Mifflin US edition published the year before (1961), and 5x as expensive.
