Based on a story by Herbert Carlson, about a lieutenant who gets tricked into commanding garbage scow with a crew of dimwitted misfits on a secret mission in Japanese controlled waters. 8 x 10 inches. Very Good plus, with light toning, with a few faint creases.
Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. Paperback. 1965. Based on the 1960 American film and later became an NBC-TV show. The story is a dramatized, fictional account of a real ship known as the USS Echo. It was a sailing vessel that originated in New Zealand and became part of the United States Navy during World War II.

Copy belonging to an unidentified cast or crew member, with their editorial annotations in manuscript ink and pencil throughout. Bound in at the rear of the script are several production documents, largely relating to post-production and editing, as well as shooting schedules and call sheets. Based on the successful 1960 film starring Jack Lemmon and Ricky Nelson, about the crew of an schooner in the Pacific theater of World War II. In this installment, Butcher investigates a supposedly deserted island in a pre-invasion reconnaissance mission. Originally aired on January 16, 1966, on NBC. Blue titled wrappers, dated 11/5/65 on the front wrapper, noted as FINAL DRAFT, with credit for screenwriter Julian Barry. Title page present, dated 11/5/65, noted as FINAL DRAFT, with credit for screenwriter Julian Barry. 71 leaves, with last page of text numbered 68.
