Tall octavo, salmon wrappers printed in black, spiral bound with white plastic spine. Advance copy (uncorrected proof) of the first edition. Quantity of copies produced unknown to us, but in our experience, this is among the more elusive of the advance issues of Vonnegut's major works. Not recorded by Pieratt, Huffman-klinkowitz, and Klinkowitz AG1 who were apparently unaware of this issue. This original First Issue dustjacket is rich in color with minor wear to the edges. The book is bound in the publishers cloth and is in excellent condition. The binding is tight and the boards are crisp with minor wear. The pages are clean with NO writing, marks or bookplates in book. A wonderful copy SIGNED by the author. Signed by Author(s).

Unbound. Condition: Near Fine. First edition. Three page (three sides of two leaves) printed letter with Vonnegut's facsimile signature. Folded as mailed, envelope a little sloppily opened else near fine. Accompanied by a return envelope and pledge card laid in, which are fine. A solicitation by Vonnegut to donate to the ACLU to prevent book burnings.

Light soiling and small stain to text block edges, light scattered foxing throughout. In a Very Good unclipped dust jacket with light edgewear and foxing, moderate toning and soiling, soft crease to front panel. One of Vonnegut's best-loved books, signed by the author.
