Volume 1 illustrated with maps, figures and tables in the text, black & white photo plates. Green cloth, titles stamped in gilt on the spine. Map box complete plus an extra copy of the Tables section. Boards crisp, binding tight, as unread save the loose Contents - Volume 2 sheet recto has surface erosion and some map edges lightly foxed. "The main purposes for which this soil survey was carried out were to make an overall assessment of the land resources of the Colony for national and regional planning and development.".
