Not a book but a group of six, 7-inch, 45 rpm Rhythm & Blues "doo-wop" vinyl singles. By popular demand, we're back with six more, this time by golden-era vocal groups you MAY ACTUALLY HAVE HEARD OF, combined to consolidate shipping. You know the deal by now: These vinyl records should play well; they grade "good-plus" to "very-good-plus" with scattered scuffs and scratches. The labels show some rub from being stored together without individual protective sleeves; one has a Previous Owner's Name written in pen to both labels. NONE of these vinyl 45s are shiny new, NONE of them grade "near mint." But at a very reasonable price you get the following six ORIGINAL RELEASES: George Gershwin's "Love Walked In," backed by / "Yours," performed by The Flamingos on end Records, 1959; "Elizabeth" / "Believe In Me," by Dave Ford and The Hollywood Flames, on Goldie Records, 1962; "What Time Is It?" (penned by our favorite Australian sheep-herders, Feldman-Goldstein-Gottehrer) / "Beggin' You Please," by the Jive Five with Eugene Pitt on Beltone (1962); "Fireworks" / "The Bounce" by The Olympics on Tri-Disc (1963);"Goin' Out of My Head" (Randazzo-Weinstein) / "Make It Easy On Yourself," by Little Anthony and The Imperials (of course) on dcp International, 1964, and "Sweetest One" / "Time Changes Things," by the Metros on RCA Victor, 1966. There you have it: a group of six early '60s doo-wop 45s, this time by black vocal groups you probably HAVE heard of, combined into a lot at one price to consolidate shipping charges, and now even further reduced from $25. Orders usually ship within 2 business days. Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 lbs., or 1 kg. If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required. Please make sure your e-mail program will accept such an inquiry from an ABE Books address. "SHIPPING RATE" is a small pull-down menu at ABE. Media mail is the default setting; you may choose "Priority," which costs more but carries some automatic insurance protection, if you wish. To keep our basic shipping rate competitive, we do not routinely pay out of pocket to insure books valued under $50. HOWEVER (SIGNATURE REQUIRED): We now ship all parcels valued at $90 or more "signature required," at our expense. Customers are responsible to provide a secure shipping address. In the case of shipments valued over $90. Should no adult signer be available when the mailman calls, buyers should be on the lookout for a "notice of attempt to deliver." We ship in boxes -- not plastic bags. In our experience, deliveries to France, Italy and Western Australia can take from three to 13 weeks, regardless of shipping method. We cannot control Customs delays in such countries, the luxurious seasonal vacation schedules of government functionaries, nor the proudly announced preference of Australian postal authorities to spend a week shipping even "Priority" packages across the continent from Sydney to Perth by truck -- camels apparently not being consistently available.
