Original lithographed hydrographic chart (105 x 70 cm) of Singapore, Keppel Harbor, Brani Island and Blakang Mati Island, drawn by M. Celle and J. Person, partially printed in colour. One small tear to lower margin reinforced by archival tape, generally an excellent clean copy. A comprehensive map of Singapore and its immediate surroundings, with a wealth of detail not only in the marine districts but also on land. The map shows anchorage zones (mouillages) for oil tankers (p�troliers), jonques (junks), battle ships (navires de guerre), fishing boats (bateaux de p�che), barges (chalands), places of quarantine and immigration, floating timber (bois flottants), hydroplanes, etc. On land are highly-detailed plans of Singapore, Brani Island, and Blakang Mati Island.
