Pamphlet from Tanzanian independence leader Julius K. Nyerere on education for the people; with a note scrawled in pencil to cover from its previous owner, the academic Charles V. Hamilton ("*cite / Relevant for Chapter on Political Literacy"). While not cited in the bibliography his most famous book, Black Power: The Politics of Liberation in America, the historical application of political literacy is discussed in terms of voter repression in the South. The publication date of this pamphlet suggests it's possibly an influence on Hamilton and Kwame Ture's research towards the book.
