VEGAN TEENAGE ZOMBIE HUNTRESS is a mashup of some of my fave things from pop culture, like "Daria", "Mean Girls," and "Shaun of the Dead", and whatever other pop culture influences might be floating around in my brain. Think fun snarky commentary and physical comedy, and, of course, zombies! It's also a "girl power" book, where the girls get a chance to save their boys, but not without learning some lessons about collaboration and friendship. Clarissa, the main character, is a vegan and feminist, which presented many opportunities for comedy and conflict, and her best friend Cokie is simply struggling to be heard. Together, they both grow and change, but not without enduring some crazy zombie action.
