About the Author: Alexander L. Baugh holds a master s degree and a Ph.D. from Brigham Young University. He is an associate professor of Church history and doctrine at BYU and is widely recognized as an expert on the Missouri period in early Church history. Other contributors to this book include Richard L. Bushman, Steven C. Harper, Richard Neitzel Holzapfel, John W. Welch, Susan Easton Black, and Royal Skousen.
