Colour illustrated wraps 17x24cm. Printed by Silkscreen Press, Fahaheel. 93, (1)pp with b/w drawings in-text, and several related local adverts in colour. Very good with creasing to the lower corner of the front wraps and first few leaves. Undated: OCLC roughly estimates 1960s, but possibly after 1971*. Very rare with OCLC recording 7 locations. Addressed to Ladies, the author's introduction states "I shall not be untruthful if I say that the idea of recording what takes place in the Kuwaiti kitchen had never entered my mind". She credits the idea to encouragement from the Under Secretary of the Ministry of Guidance and ex-Education Minister, HE Sayyed Saleh Abdul Malik Al-Saleh. She opens with some general advice on ingredients and method: "Ladies - Kuwaiti cooking is an art before it is a science. I feel I should enlighten you about your first experience of cooking such dishes". The contents are arranged into general dishes, meat, fish, sweets, and drinks. (* records show Al-Saleh was Education Minister until 1970, then briefly Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy 1970-1). Seller Inventory # 4903
