About this Item

Description:

A very smart, true first edition of Kingsley Amis' celebrated James Bond continuation. Written under the pseudonym, 'Robert Markham'. With the original dustwrapper, which is unclipped. Written by Kingsley Amis under the name Robert Markham. This is the first James Bond continuation novel published after Ian Fleming's 1964 death. Before this work Amis wrote two other Bond related works. The inspiration of this novel came from a holiday Amis took in the Greek island. This centres on James Bond and his mission to track down the kidnappers of M, his superior at the Secret Service. In the publisher's original cloth binding. With unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, excellent with minor shelfwear. Dustwrapper is very smart with just some minor edgewear. Minor fading to the wrap edges. Small closed tear to the bottom of front wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with just the odd spot. Fine. Seller Inventory # 764L2
